So I’ve decided to start using my Gee Virus Tumblr as a new fitness blog. It’s focus will be tracking my health and fitness journey over time using various video game platforms. as far as the name goes, Gee*Virus is my gamer handle (Resident Evil inspired), and I will show how using active gaming in various forms will better my health! The Nintendo Wii will be my platform of choice. The main goal is to improve my overall fitness and health, increase my flexibility and balance, reduce or eliminate the effects of my sleep apnea. The primary measurement will be reduction of my overall BMI from ~29 down to 22. In weight terms this means a decrease to sub 200 lbs. from my current weight of 224ish. The primary tactics will be the use of the Wii Fit game and balance board, but I will also change things up with Tony Hawk Ride (also focused on balance board), Wii Sports, Wii Resort, Resident Evil (Zombieland Rule #1: Do Cardio.) and others. I will post my Wii Fit body check results and training journals as well as photos, videos and music that I use along the way. Here’s to health and happiness! Fitness FTW!!1! 1 Up!
